Future Pediatric Nurse

Hello, my name is Janelle Resendiz. I am a rising Junior in dual credit high school named Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences. I am interested in being a Pediatric Nurse. With me being a dual credit student, I will graduate high school with an Associates' of Arts. Will this stand out to colleges?

Hi Janell,

I am a part of a dual enrollment program and in my program, students that graduate with their associates can be transfer students but only if their associates in the same field as their major would be for a 4 year university. For example a girl graduated from my program this year with an associates in psychology and she is transferring to UC Davis to study psychology. I think just being a part of a dual enrollment or dual credit program will stand out to most colleges (maybe not big schools like T20s or Ivys but to most). I think you'll be fine, especially if you have strong ECs and grades.
