I am a rising junior looking for STEM internship opportunities that are preferably virtual. I have found an opportunity that interests me, and it is an internship through the non-profit STEM-E, and I am interested in applying. However, before I apply to this internship, I would like more options to compare and see if there are some opportunities that better meet what I am looking for. This is my first time applying for an internship, so I am learning as I go through this process. A little about me is that I have competed on a robotics team for seven years as a lead or co-programmer, working on documenting the programming process, creating strategies, and I am going into my eighth year of robotics. Outside of robotics, I have mentored students in building processes, creating strategies, and programming. I am very interested in advanced mathematics and science. The last two years, I have competed on the math and science team, mentoring underclassmen and upperclassmen on topics ranging from black holes, pulsars, neutron stars, graph theory, modular arithmetic, quaternions, and many more examples. I am interested in going into astrophysics or quantum physics and studying black holes and their gravitational waves. I have found some opportunities for which the deadline for an application has already rolled over and would be a better fit for next year. Any suggestions for internships that land in the STEM field dealing with mathematics and/or physics that would be virtual, preferably, but even if it is not, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm in the "Mind4youth internship" ! I'd look at their insta account for more details ! And " Stembark"
