My GPA has always been average but this year it went down from 3.57 to 3.37 and now all my hopes and dreams a crushed.... My college list is ruined because of the drop. I literally had a mental breakdown and still is having a mental breakdown as of right now 🙃. I had everything prepared target reach and safeties, at this point my safeties are probably reach right now. I might as well go to community College even tho I don't want to. What should I do guys.
Hello, I was just pasting though this feed and I began to read your discussion. After reading it, I want to tell you to not give up! Don't think that your college list is ruined, yes, I may not know what college's your wanting to go into, but do remember you have your senior year to improve your GPA, if you live in the U.S. At school you could always take more classes to higher your GPA, DO NOT over work yourself though, its important to care for your mental health and to have your own life too, not just school. I hope this helps a little bit and if you feel shameful for needing or wanting to go to community College, don't be. I'm honestly thinking of community College personally, since it would be cheaper and there's not pay grade in the career I'm wanting to go into. Remember to believe in yourself and take breaks when times get hard! Yes school/college is important but your mental health and wellbeing is way more important!😊🐢
Thank you so much. I feel a lot better now. I was so out of it. I definitely don't think community college is bad it's just that I have this idea of going somewhere new and fresh since in my school a lot of students tend to go there and I just want to experience a new place and see new faces. My sister goes to community college and she's doing good I just think that it's not where I want to go but I can always transfer anyways, it's in my list just incase my parents also can't afford for others.
Hi, I just saw this and wished to offer my support and point of view as someone currently in this situation as well. Starting the year I had an unweighted 3.85 GPA and it dropped significant to a 3.27 by the end. With this clear issue going on through the year I overworked myself and had like 8 mental breakdowns a month because of this. I wanted to go to a big university or college which usually require a 3.5 GPA. Then I looked on it and researched. I found that most big colleges and universities wish for you to have already experienced college life beforehand. With this I did dual enrolment for a community college and will go there to complete the rest of my AA after I graduate. With this I would save money and have done my prerequisites for the field I want to go in and save time and money. Community college isn't a bad thing or something to be ashamed of because in the end you still did what most people would have stopped at when discouraged, completing a degree or certification for your field. And plus community college isn't a bad start and is usually less stressful, the costs are less, it's nearby, it's smaller with more focus on education(typically) and many transfer programs which help further your educational requirements for what you need. You had everything prepared but maybe you just prepared for a later future so your list can come to use later rather that the near future. And from what I can tell you still have senior year to complete what you need to and get your GPA up. Don't stress to much and work to how far you need to go without overworking or overwhelming yourself. Keep going and achieve and do what you need, don't give up, don't stress, and work hard. I hope you have a great day and see this post ad something that could help you look at things in a new perspective or just for insight. Good bye
