GPA

Which GPA?

Do colleges look at the cumulative GPA, cumulative weighted GPA, or the Core GPA? All 3 of mine are different.

What Ive hear from everyone from college councelours to school councelors is that whatever your school sends as your official transcript, each school takes all those grades and calculate their own GPA. Then with this GPA they take a look at your course rigor to compare you with other students. Most of the time, they calculate and look at your unweight cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

So a lot of colleges look at cumulative weighted gpa more favorably since it will reflect honors, AP and IB. but they do obviously consider all of them to the best of their ability.
