Am I supposed to be taking AP clases

I'm a junior at Lawrence high school none of my friends take AP classes except for 2 and they talk about how they hate it and wishes they had never taken them. Throughout my high school experience I have taken honors and college classes but not any AP. Am I supposed to?

APs get college credit so you save money, and a lot of times they aren’t as bad as people say. You will have some homework and stuff but its manageable. Also prepares you for college class. If your already busy or don’t want to it’s not a big deal.

As long as you're showing rigor (i.e., taking more advanced classes), you'll be fine. AP classes are just great because they count for college credit, which can be super helpful for cutting down on university costs and demonstrating that aforementioned rigor.
