Weighted v Unweighted GPA

I have a 3.88 weighted GPA and a 3.6 unweighted, and i was wondering if applying to a good college is going to be impossible. I have taken APUSH and i am currently taking AP micro/macro, and AP Lit. I am trying to get my GPA up, but i’m pretty sure its just going to be nothing more that a 4.0. I messed up my freshman year getting a 3.5, and Ive been stuck ever since. Sophomore year i ended with a 4.01.

I agree with the previous comment---your chances of getting into a "good college" are not low at all! Your GPA is actually pretty strong, and if you do well in the AP's, it'll both raise your GPA AND add some scores to your profile!

Literally unless you're like Ivy league or bust, community college is not even necessary to consider unless you're trying to attend for cheaper. With a 3.88, 3.6 and good stats you could go to a mid-level selective but still great schools. Even if you don't make it now, transferring is always an option. Your future is not limited in any way shape or form. Good Luck!
