As someone who would be hard pressed to earn a merit or need based scholarships at my reach schools, but could go to lesser prestige school with almost full academic rides which is better. I plan on going to law school and want to take some sort of legal studies program for my undergrad. Would it be more advantageous to go get my undergrad at a lower academic prestige school for cheap or go to the most prestigious school?
It depends on your financial situation. However, if you can get a full ride to a decent school, that may be better, as law school will cost a lot of money.
Honestly I say find a middle ground and find a prestigious school that is also available for you financially. Prestige isn't everything especially if you are 150,000+ in debt wanting to go to law school.
Good luck!!!
I might not be an expert, but as law is a very degree intensive endeavor, people hire depending on the law school you graduated from. So I would say prestige is more important.
