I’m currently around the end of my IGCSE Year 11 class, board exams coming up May/June. Right now, I only have small school-level competitions or projects and about 3-4 extracurriculars in my portfolio. I plan on taking engineering, specifically mechanical or electrical. My grades are above average (around 3.7). If you can provide options or links for an international student, it would be appreciated…
I don’t think that it’s late you could work on volunteering starting a non-profit for leadership or anything that can get easily accomplished and improved on without needing years. Now for gpa it’s very good, if you want to add more you could apply to either study abroad or online for research program which is also good.
I will look into volunteering, although I did some for the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award, thanks😁
I'm an American so my points may not be accurate but here's my thoughts. I'm also scrambling to get more extracurricular because we kept moving so here's what I've learned. Try to do some online extracurricular in your area of study, whether that's researching, tutoring, etc. But honestly, you could make your current portfolio work by showcasing your eagerness to learn more from your college, just make your current portfolio really solid and pretty focused on engineering.
Thanks, I recently picked up on an app I was developing which could help, and will look into online research😁
