I am a sophomore and I am having a hard time figuring out what college to apply for. here are my colleges
Texas A and M university
Cornell university
Washington state university
Colorado state university
University of California,Davis
University of Wisconsin-Madison
I know I have two more years left but I like planning ahead.
Texas A&M has an exceptional animal science program along with its own vetinary school, i dont know much about the rest so definitely do some research, if your school has college fairs make sure to ask a lot of questions when they come by. Another school with a good animal science program and a high acceptance rate for the Texas A&M vetinary school is SFA, ( Stephen f. Austin). I plan on applying too multiple just to be safe and SFA is at the top of my list next to A&M.
I don't know about the ranking of these schools for animal science but here's some advice for researching that. You could find some student vlogs in your major to see what you like and dislike (the college doesn't really matter, this is to find, in general, what you are looking for). You can read articles in the departments of the colleges and see what students are doing (fairs, clubs, projects, etc.) This is so you can, in theory, know what you could do at the college. Those are the tips I've got, hope it helps!
