Hey, My name is Yamin. I’m a high school student and my GPA is 99.57 which should be about a 4.0 on the scale.
I’ve been doing a lot outside school mostly around tech research and building stuff. I worked on research with about 5 universities including one project it's going to turn into a patent soon, and another I worked on with researchers connected to the University of Texas. I built a program to help blind people. I also built a website that simulates and helps treat a certain condition.
I also built different tech projects and did one research projects.research paper is expected to be published soon.
I found a vulnerability in one application and reported it. I also reached the finals of the Samsung SFT competition on the national level in my country and I was also a finalist in a hackathon won a medal for the best team.
I started an organization where I host podcasts with inspiring people and we’re planning environmental trips with organizations to raise awareness. I also run workshops helping students with research and innovation and a few other things and 10 of them got to participate to international competition like tisf and itex etc...
I’m planning to take the SAT in May July October and November to try to get the highest score possible.
Do you think a profile like this could be competitive for Ivy League schools?
That is absolutely amazing! A profile like that could easily be competitive for Ivy League schools. You have the needed GPA and a list of extracurricular activities that stand out! With a high score on your SAT, that bumps your profile up and makes it a great competitive advantage for the Ivy Leagues.
Absolutely! The final push you can give your application will be in your essays. Show them that all these amazing things you did are things you plan on continuing at their school.
