Getting Internships/ Getting Into Bio programs in High school

I'm interested in biotechnology right? But there are no internships or programs around me (in Fort Worth) that I know of that give internships for teens. I go to an athletic oriented school that doesn't have many academic programs or clubs for me to join. So i'm stuck looking outside of my school for them. I want to have an extracurricular that's connected to the bio-sciences that I can show to colleges. Are there any online programs/internships I can join? Or maybe something else related to science that I can sign up for? I feel like I have nothing to show that i'm interested in bio.

I know Harvard had sent out applications for an online college program to study many areas! they had all medical styled things, I would check that out and see about getting in. There is also volunteer opportunities I think available. I am unsure about your area.. But I hope you find something!
