Scholarships

Hey y'all!

I've been trying to figure out how to find scholarships that students have a decent chance at earning. I've looked at sites like Bold.org, FastWeb, Sallie, and sites like scholarship Owl but none of them seem to have reasonable scholarships without either charging a membership fee or giving oddly specific requirements. How do y'all do it?

It's just not realistic to spend 1-1.5 hours every couple days searching through these websites, coming up with- maybe 1 scholarship that actually suits me. Not to mention looking for that long, along with my weekly courseload.

Please help and thank you in advance!

I've actually seen a lot of people not recommend those specific websites as they are big platforms with a lot of students applying and reduce your chances of actually getting a scholarship, somewhat like a lottery. I recommend finding local or really specific scholarships. For example look at schools in your or nearby counties, and look under "counselling department" you can find a spreadsheet of local scholarships, as well as if you look up your state or county you can find some smaller scholarships as well. I also suggest looking for scholarships that have specific requirements, which will increase your winning chances. It could be art, athletics, or any specific hobby your into like sewing. smaller/specific scholarships=less students apply= way higher chance of winning than on huge websites like bold, fastweb, ect.

Exactly! That's my thought too. I just haven't been able to figure out how to find the specific scholarships. I'll give what you said a shot. Thank you!
