How do I write a financial aid appeal?

I was recently accepted to Georgetown University and am anticipating little to no aid. However, my family lost money due to the pandemic and our 2019 income is very different from our 2020 income. What information should I include?

I would tell them that your family lost money and what your 2020 income is (exact number), so you'll need more aid in order to attend. You can also find financial aid appeal letter templates/examples online if that's helpful!
