Paying for College

Should I join a club and will colleges look into that?

There is one club at my school that caught my intention, UIL science. I'm wondering what it's about and should I take it? I know this club covers chemistry, biology, and physics. In my opinion, chemistry and biology were easy but I don't know about physics. This senior year I am taking honors pre-Cal, physics, English 4, government and economics, AP computer science A, AP environmental science, and medical microbiology. I'm wanting my resume to look good the thing is that my freshmen year wasn't the greatest. My grades were really bad, but I had straight A's or A's and B's the other years. The other thing is that this will be my first year taking AP classes. In my junior year, I took only one honors class and got straight A's. My junior year was fairly easy. It only took 2 or 3 hours to finish one day of school (I was virtual).

That would be an excellent way to improve your college application! If you are interested in those topics focused on by the club, I'd say go for it! Just make sure you understand how much time it will take and if you have that time. You don't want to burn yourself out.

Clubs are a great way to show them what your interests outside of your direct academics are. If it sounds interesting to you and you have time I would sign up.
