Paying for College

Scholarships

Hi! I have a question involving the rules of certain schools. Why do some schools allow you to "stack" scholarships, while other schools do not? Also, this goes hand in hand with NAIA schools not letting athletes stack their scholarships with merit-based scholarships that come from the school.

Hi there @aliviare,

A potential reason colleges don't allow for stacking scholarships is the worry that students will gain more financial aid than is needed to cover their expenses. Hope this helps!
