Can I "upgrade" scholarships based on grades?
Answered

Hi everyoneee!

So in fall, I'll be attending NAU, and I got a $7,500 per year scholarship from them, which is pretty good considering my tuition is $10,970. (Almost 70% of my tuition) Also, I'm not complaining because people with my GPA usually only get a $5,000 one, so that's great!

BUT!!!

I know that I can get a better one because my GPA is 3.06, but it could be better; I'm talking like 3.7 at least, better. The reason is; my sophomore year, I got 5 f's due to personal issues dropping my GPA to 1.8. Since then, I've aced all classes to get only 4 B's and the rest A's, which is insane because I've taken 24 classes in these 2 years! If you calculate my GPA just for these 2 years, it's a 3.875!

So that's how I know I can get a way better GPA, and I will in college. The question is, can I "upgrade" (in a way) my scholarship after my first year???

I have seen that many colleges offer additional scholarships for once you are already studying there. While I do not think you can "upgrade" your given scholarships you will most likely have other scholarship opportunities once you start college.
