Usually, the school you are applying to will have scholarships that you can get based on your academic status. If you want to bring in your own scholarship money though, you can just search up scholarships and many things will come up that you can apply for. Some may require you to write an essay or a short paragraph, while others don't. Some great scholarship websites you can look at are bigfuture scholarships, fastweb.com, scholarships.com, and niche.com. Also, many fast-food places give out scholarships as well.

Each scholarship application is going to be different. Some will only want to know your contact information while others will want an essay, a letter of recommendation, your transcript, and possibly more. A few great websites that I use for scholarships are Bold.org, CollegeBoard, CollegeVine, Plexuss, Niche, and going merry. I know on Bold.org specifically there is a scholarship for students from abroad coming to the US to study and Plexuss has monthly scholarships that you can continue entering. Bold.org has HUNDREDS of scholarships I personally have applied to near 40. But be sure to take into account that you are not guaranteed to win a scholarship.
