Paying for College

How much is Out-Of-State cost of attendance at University of Central Florida (UCF)?
Answered

For reference, I have a GPA of 4.268, PreACT of 27 and projected ACT score of 30. I am involved in my school’s dance team, choir, theatre, NHS, and student council. I am in all honors currently and plan on taking all AP for junior year and a mix of AP and CCP my senior year. What kinds of scholarships, grants, and merit scholarships can I get?

Hi! Here's the breakdown of UCF's out-of-state cost of attendance (per year):

•Tuition & Fees- $20,980

•Books- $1,200

•Housing- $7,094

•Food- $5,358

•Transportation- $2,126

•Personal Expenses- $3,104

Total: $39,862

As for scholarships and grants:

•FAFSA- Sign up for the Pell Grant your Senior year as soon as you can, as it is a first-come, first-serve system

•If you apply to UCF, you are automatically considered for the Freshman Pegasus Award, which is given to fewer than 25% of applicants, so keep your resume as impressive as possible

•What do you plan on studying in college? UCF offers several scholarships by department that are worth looking into

•Check out websites like Fastweb and Scholarship Owl for more scholarships

Hope this helps! Good luck!
