Paying for College

Curious about scholarships
Answered

I'm an upper-middle class white female who's most likely going to pay for college on my own in 10th grade. I have no disabilities and as grateful as I am to be so lucky, a scholarship would help my journey a lot. Looking for scholarships aimed for entrepreneurial business or even just a regular one that anyone can have. I'm aiming to go to App State in NC. Thanks!

Hi @maddy_jj, I just wanted to let you know that I have found MANY scholarships on fastweb.com . Also you can try raise.me where you can accually get money for just doing things in high school, for example ,getting an A , joining marching band, perfect attendance and so forth, I think that would help

Hi @maddy_jj. Adding onto the previous post about websites that have scholarship opportunities, you also have scholarships.com and scholarshipowl.com. Both websites will provide you with scholarships based information you provide it. On scholarships.com, however, you can use the scholarships directory under the students tab to show different scholarship categories. For example, there are ACT scores, Gender, State Residence, and Academic Major just to name a few. As @nevaeh_smith322 said, also make sure to keep a good school record.

Based on your post, it looks like you would be interested in a business major, yes? You can start up your own business. It would be something that Appalachian State University would most likely notice and might give additional scholarships for. Also, you would earn income and help pay for college that way.

Hope this helps!
