School List

Hi, I'm a sophomore with a 4.0 weighted GPA and I have a whole bunch of extracurriculars. I am a good student and I hope to apply to some more selective schools. My top choice schools are Barnard and Wellesley. I am also considering applying to Boston University, Brandeis University, American University. My safety school is probably going to be Agnes Scott College. I am trying to find more schools to build my potential school list. I would like to major in political science and/or broadcast journalism. If anyone has any advice or knows of a good school please share! Thanks!

Hey Jasmine! Your top schools are excellent choices and I think if you have good extracurriculars you are on the right track. I would suggest taking AP's and honors to increase your weighted GPA to over 4.3. Also, I would look at specific things you like about the schools, whether it's the location or college majors offered. Then, research schools with higher acceptance rates with some of the same qualities. I would also consider state schools with good honors colleges. Hope this helps!

Hi @JasmineThespian,

You can use our School List tool to find schools that are highly ranked and have these majors by filtering by your prospective programs and using our Rankings feature.

Then you can use the Admissions Difficulty column to see which schools are safeties, reaches, or targets for you!

Hope this helps and best of luck!
