Some top majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science. and Information Science. It all depends on what specific aspect of computer programming you want to work on (AI, Cloud computing, web dev, etc.)

Studying Computer Science is a very good major for computer programming and the pay for the job you get is high
