Is industrial engineering a reliable major for my future; I don't have a preference on majors. However, I want a major that will set me up for my future financially. Is industrial engineering the right major to learn from different companies and start my own?

Industrial engineering is a reliable major that can set you up on career paths with growth. If anything industrial engineering is undervalued - since so many engineering majors study mechanical and electrical engineering, an industrial engineering major would set you apart in the job market.
