Tufts: Should I Apply?

Hey, so I am thinking of applying to Tufts but I have really slim chance of getting accepted because my GPA is not that impressive at Penn State. Anything else I can do to boost my acceptance rate? Like writing a stellar essay, or getting published in Penn States Mind over Matter Newsletter which I have already done...

PS. In my essay, I will talk about my struggles with my learning disability which has almost crushed me and I thought of dropping out multiple times in high school but my strong will and perseverance has been my savior multiple times even through my depression and my learning disability.

Hi @lemonspice!

Tufts has a single-digit transfer acceptance rate. They might consider your GPA in the context of your learning disability, but their main concern is whether you can handle their course rigor. I'm not trying to demotivate you; you should apply if you really want to go there. Make sure you show evidence that will give them a good reason to believe you're qualified.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your honest response, I'll be taking only one or two courses at a time if accepted so it won't be a problem...
