Good (Safe) schools for theater and english?
Answered

Hi! I'm planning on applying to schools outside of my area (The American South) and I was wondering what could be some good ones to look into. I don't really care about type (yet) I just want good schools that are in safe areas and safe toward Hispanic and other minority students. If it helps:

I plan on majoring in either English, Theater, or both if I don't feel too burnt out after my senior year, minoring in Education (Got to have that safety net, and teaching despite the low pay and benefits has always interested me).

My current GPA is about a 3.7 at the moment (unweighted, weighted its over a 4) and I am planning on getting an IB diploma soon, and make an attempt to graduate with a 4.0.

I do plan on applying in-state, but I would like to apply to at least three out of state.

Neither temperature, nor terrain are a factor, but public (cheap) transportation would be ideal.

My extracurriculars include theater, choir, and that's about it (Those are time consuming...)

Have a great day, hydrate, and thank you!

Purdue has one of the best English programs there is, with the OWL correction software. It’s widely known around the world.
