What classes should I take?
Answered

I am in 10th grade, and I want to be an astrophysicist. I have taken average classes all of high school and I know that I have to do something more. What classes should I take in honors, AP or other types recommended? I am able to take extra classes during the summer to do more, but I am not sure what classes to take. Any recommendations?

Ap physics obviously. You should definitely take calc, bc if possible. Try to take ap stats. Ap chem is useful too, but it depends on what kind of astrophysics you want to go into. Also consider an engineering related course. I'm aiming for the same thing, so these are the ones I find the most helpful. Hope this helps

Ask you GC what kind of classes are offered and go ask some upperclassmen about these classes. The classes posted by @smthatguy and @hehhe are great for your major, just make sure that you don’t jump in Physics C Mechanics w/out take a physics class before. Take into consideration what you know and what your strengths are.

AP Physics for sure, try to take up until AP Mechanics C if your school provides the course. Place heavy emphasis on STEM-related subjects such as Science and Math try to take all the most rigorous classes that your school offers both honors and APs. During the summer, take as many as you can with concern over time management and workload. Don't stress!!
