I'm torn

I've been looking for safety colleges to apply to for physics. I have one in Mizzou, as it is a good local college. For the other safety, I have narrowed it down to either Purdue or the University of Washington in Seattle. Help me choose, and if you have any suggestions, lmk. Thanks!

Is there a reason why you cannot apply to both? Also, if you know exactly what school you want to attend, why apply to extra schools? Of course, if you aren't sure you will get into the school you really want to attend, then absolutely apply to safeties to make sure you get into a college, but otherwise there is no real reason to waste time, money, and effort on college applications to schools you don't even care about. It is better to focus on perfecting the application of your dream school.

Well I've done the most I can to perfect my application. However, I am only applying to 4 colleges which are my dream schools. Furthermore, these are schools like Columbia, UMich, WashU, and Stanford. There is an enormous chance I don't get accepted into any of them or that I can't afford to go to the ones I do get into. Because of this, not applying to safeties is not an option.
