I want to study either a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or Biomedical Sciences as an international student.
I've got a 4.0 GPA and I'm about to enter my senior year. My school does not offer APs or Honors (even though it's an online school from the US), so I have to conform with the regular classes. I haven't taken the SAT yet, but I'm aiming for 1500+.
Btw, do universities consider certain factors if I'm a homeschooler? I know I said that I study at an online school but the methodology is like homeschooling.
You have an impressive academic record! With a 4.0 GPA and a goal of 1500+ SAT, you can consider top schools like Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Johns Hopkins, or strong biological sciences schools like UC Berkeley or the University of Toronto. Have you considered any special requirements for online or homeschool students when applying? Some schools may require additional essays or teacher recommendations to Block Blast assess your academic ability and independent thinking.
I've considered enhancing my extracurriculars. I've been collaborating at a university environmental club, participated in a national STEM program, and I'm about to engage in a research program with Oxbridge tutors in April (these are my strongest ECs). However, I feel like I don't have many connections with my teachers, only with my ex-counselor. I don't know if that'll hurt my chances to get in.
Gonzaga is a good school for biology!
Thanks for your suggestion! I'll take it into consideration :) Btw, does the university consider international students? (I'm one)
yeah gonzaga does consider international students!!
