Hey so like I know I'm young (currently finishing 8th grade) but I wanted to start looking now. So I need help big time, I'm trying to find a very very affordable college with a good astronomy programs/major but I also want a scholarship in marching or symphonic band. any good ones?
Hello @selenesmoone342,
First, great idea to start early. I wish that I had started as early as you have. Addressing the marching bands, most state universities have them, and that you can get them. Also, public state universities tend to be cheaper than a private university, say, MIT. You are looking for affordability, correct? State universities will almost always be cheaper than than private ones, and in state is cheaper than out of state.

This is a link to US News top schools for astronomy majors, you can go in there and play with the settings to adjust it to how you like. The first 5 in the US are all private universities, but then the top 3 after that are University of Arizona, University of Chicago, and University of California Santa Cruz. Hope this helps and have a great day!
Thanks a lot this helped a bunch! :3
