Hi! I am a rising senior and I really need help on what colleges to attend. I am from Alabama and I am perfectly content staying in state (Get me out of here). I have a 4.3 weighted GPA as of right now and a 25 ACT. Im pretty good on extracurriculars and hold two officer positions (One for a CTSO and one for NHS). I will need a lottt in financial aid. My family is actually lower class, not slight middle, LOWWWW. I want to become a psychiatrist- plan to major in Biology or Psychology, minor in child development. I am not picky; financial aid is my main if not only concern. SO yeah! THANKS
Regarding your wish to become a psychiatrist, have you looked into the NYU Grossman School of Medicine at all? It's out-of-state, and they have good financial aid. A lot of excellent universities and colleges give things out on a need-blind basis and have a lot of need-based financial aid. If you went to NYU, they have things like work-study opportunities, federal loans, grants, and so on. They're especially good for first-year undergraduates.
Provides degrees in Biology and Psychology. Students who need it can get a variety of grants and other forms of financial help at Troy. Affordability is also important to them slope 2. Community engagement means having the chance to do volunteer work and take on leading roles in the community.
Although I can't give you advice on choosing a school, I really admire your efforts. I hope you can soon get into the school you want.
Oh and SCHOLARSHIPS i didn't do all this work for none. Generous schools are much appreciated
