biomedical engineering safety schools?
Answered

hey, y'all! im a rising senior intending to major in biomedical engineering.

for context, i have relatively strong academics (35 act, 35 de/ap/honors classes, 4.0 uw/4.2w gpa - my school just began weighing grades my junior year) and some okay extracurriculars. im also graduating with an associate's degree from my local cc with a major concentration in natural sciences and a minor concentration in applied sciences. im from a very rural town in louisiana, and my school is pretty uncompetitive.

what are some realistic safety schools for me? collegevine's chancing seems a bit unrealistic for how competitive colleges are nowadays lol. i would love to go to a larger school, hopefully with a decent engineering department.

If you don't mind a small school in MA, you can try Olin College of Engineering. They offer a biomedical engineering track, and their classes are focused on doing real-world projects. They sometimes collaborate with students from MIT.
