Nursing Programs in College Help!

Hi! I'm a senior in high school looking into colleges that have nursing programs in Virginia. I had a rough junior year which led to a drop in my GPA. It went from a 3.(i forgot the last digits) to a 2.974. A lot of the colleges require a minimum of a 3.0 and I don't know if I'll have time to wait to apply until the end of the school year for when my GPA gets updated (and hopefully raised) and still get into the colleges. If I reach out to colleges and explain my situation will they be able to help or am I cooked? While a gap year sounds nice, I just don't want to have to wait a whole year to apply to colleges and get accepted. Does anyone have any advice or colleges with good nursing programs that don't require a 3.0? Or is waiting it out my best option? Thanks!

Hey so instead of a full gap year you can wait until spring to go to college instead of going in the fall. Lots of people wait for their GPA to update and then apply for spring. Maybe look into that?

Hello :>

You can apply for Virginia State University’s nursing program I believe, but it is uncertain that you could get in. If you contact them and explain your situation you could get help, but you have some time to think and get your gpa up so you have a better chance of getting in.
