Should I go to the same school as my friends to stick together because I love them, or pick a different school that feels right for me, even if it means starting fresh ?
I am a senior and I have a dream of either going to LSU or University of Arkansas. Another school I am considering is Ole Miss. However, a lot of people from my school go to LATECH or ULM and I want to stay with my friends who mean a lot to me but I don't know if I want to go there. Also, I could probably go to LATECH on a full ride scholarship but I would probably have to take out a loan, not too big, to afford LSU or UARK. If it helps at all I have a 3.9 GPA, 27 ACT, 8 APs, 8 honors. Also, I live in Louisiana so I would have to pay for out of state tuition for UARK and Ole Miss
I think this question comes down to what YOU want. College is a hard transition, especially when it comes to staying with friends, but there are ways to stay in touch with them if you really want a better education or if the other colleges are better fit to your other needs. I'd take this up with your friends directly first, see if you can work out alternative methods of communication during college or if talking with them helps you lean to one side or the other. If I were to choose, I'd pick the college that fits the majority of my needs and wants first, no matter what they may be. If your friends are important enough that you're willing to sacrifice other things, absolutely take that into consideration! Objectively, LSU, Arkansas, and Ole Miss are pretty similar in terms of education though Arkansas and Ole Miss may have a slightly better campus life, so it's really up to your personal preference. Good luck with whatever you choose! :D
DO WHAT FEELS BEST FOR YOU. If yall are ment to stay friends, y’all find a way to stay friends. And what happens if you go to school with them and end up drifting apart anyways. Don’t miss your chance of going to your dream school.
