I need some help... I'm a sophomore in high school (America) and I plan to studies internationally for college as a zoology major specifically at Queen Mary University London. From what I've researched, UK requirements are VERY different to American requirements. Honestly I don't have the most goated academic stats with a GPA of 3.4-3.5 (unweighted) fluctuating throughout the year. It's mostly because I have no focus whatsoever. But I digress; the school I want to go to requires I take chemistry and I have an extreme amount of doubt in my ability to ace that class.
so if anyone has any help to offer with international requirements overall and also ways to survive chemistry next year. THANKS!
Hey! I totally feel you on the whole international college thing. The UK requirements can be super confusing, especially since they're so different from here. For your GPA, a 3.4-3.5 isn’t terrible, but I get why you’re worried about getting into QMUL. You might want to focus on boosting your grades in classes you can improve in. As for chemistry, it can be daunting, but there are definitely ways to make it easier. Try to stay organized by keeping a planner to track assignments and tests, and consider finding a study buddy who’s good at chemistry to help you out. Using online resources like Khan Academy or YouTube can also be super helpful when you need different explanations for tough concepts. Don’t hesitate to ask your teacher for help if you’re struggling since they can offer extra support. Lastly, practice is key—working through problems will help you get comfortable with the material. Just remember, it’s okay to not be perfect, and you got this!
