School Sugestions

Hey Everyone!

I am currently a Sophomore in HS looking for some school recs! I'm looking for a relatively small undergrad population (1600-8000) and a liberal arts feel. I am looking to get recruited for Field Hockey. My Freshman year GPA was a 3.1 and my Sophomore GPA (so far) is a 3.7. Here are my extracurriculars: Theater, Varsity Speech & Debate (Leadership), Varsity Field Hockey, Junior Varsity Soccer, Volunteer Work, Coaching, Chemistry Club, LGBTQ+ Affinity, Disability Affinity (Vice President), and Asian Affinity.

Thank you!

Hey! Most smaller liberal arts schools are Division 3, meaning that they can't give out athletic scholarships/recruitments (the student must first be accepted into the school and may then join the team). You can certainly try to find some that are d1/d2, but they are rare. This means that you should certainly do your best to stay strong academically, as for smaller liberal arts colleges, there is no sport recruitment safety net to fall onto. Definitely consider how prospective you are at fh and how much of a priority it is for you to play in college, and the cost burden of not being able to receive an athletic scholarship.
