College Wishlist:
I want to go somewhere warm, not a deal breaker but would be prefered
Somewhere with a good engineering program
Majors in Architectural engineering (not many schools have) or Civil engineering
Urban area
Affordable tuition (max 30-35k per year?) Applying for scholarships and financial aid
Prestige? Would love to go to a prestigious school or T20 - if I can get aid
Where do you want to go to college at state-wise? In state or out-of-state? Also, if in state, what state?
I think I would like to go to college out of state - I am in PA - as long as it will be affordable.
I would say go with Carnegie Mellon. I have heard many good things about it.
Also, there is another website that might be a bit more helpful for getting answers for this type of question. Use college confidential forums. If you want to DM me on there, I can give you some more info on the schools that would be best in my opinion
I have heard good things about CMU as well. I'm planning on touring this summer. My only issue is that I would really like to explore other climates: I think I want to move out of PA after college.
If you end up wanting to DM me on there, my user is the same as on here.
Also, if you can get experience in a job with engineering, that will help a lot.
There is a great college in Indiana. Here is the link if you want to check it out: anderson.edu/
