What's the best college in Atlanta for a future business major?

I'm currently a junior in high school and starting to think seriously about college. I've heard Atlanta has some great schools, and I'm particularly interested in business programs. Does anyone have suggestions for top-rated colleges in Atlanta that offer strong business majors? Bonus points if you know about internship opportunities or connections with local businesses.

When discussing business programs in Atlanta, Emory University's Goizueta Business School often comes to mind. This is one of the top-rated business schools in the country and offers an extensive undergraduate business program where students can gain a well-rounded understanding of business principles and specialize in various fields like marketing, consulting, or finance. In addition to receiving a solid theoretical foundation in business, you'll have ample opportunity to develop your leadership skills and participate in practical, hands-on learning.

Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business also deserves mention. Although Robinson may not have the same prestige as Goizueta, GSU's location in downtown Atlanta leads to a myriad of networking and internship opportunities.

Atlanta itself presents ample opportunities for students to find high-quality internships and job offers, including at Fortune 500 companies headquartered in Atlanta like Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, and Delta Air Lines.

Before making your decision, you'll want to thoroughly research each program and connect with current students or recent alumni. See how well each school aligns with your personal values and interests, not just your academic and career goals. While rankings can be helpful, the fit is equally crucial. The best school will provide the resources and environment where you personally can thrive, and that will vary from person to person.

As you build your college list, you may find college search engines useful, like CollegeVine's, which allows you to filter schools based on a range of factors, including not just location and majors offered, but also student/faculty ratio, admissions requirements, and so on. This tool can help you build a list of schools that are sure to be a good all-around fit for you. You can access the search engine here: https://www.collegevine.com/schools/hub

Finally, if you're looking for ways to pursue your passion for business while still in high school, check out this blog post from CollegeVine, which lists a range of business-related summer programs for high schoolers: https://blog.collegevine.com/high-school-business-summer-programs/. Many of them will allow you to network with current business educators and professionals, who can give you more personalized guidance on which program is the best fit for you.

Participating in one could even give you a boost during the college process, as admissions officers love to see that you're taking initiative and exploring your interests outside of the classroom! Good luck!
