Looking for Small College Recommendations in Florida

Hi peeps! So, I've been exploring options for college and I've realized that I'd much prefer a small college. I'm currently based in Florida and would love to stay close to home. Any recommendations for small colleges in Florida?

Certainly, you have quite a few options for smaller colleges in Florida. If you're interested in liberal arts studies, the following colleges are worth considering:

- New College of Florida: This is a public liberal arts college located in Sarasota. It's unique in its academic model, where students receive narrative evaluations instead of traditional A-F grades, and develop contracts with their faculty advisors laying out their academic plans for each semester.

- Eckerd College: Located in St. Petersburg, Eckerd College offers a high level of personal attention due to its low student-to-faculty ratio. It offers a variety of majors in the arts and sciences.

- Rollins College: Found in Winter Park, Rollins College offers undergraduates many opportunities for field study, internships, and public service.

- Stetson University: Located in DeLand, this university emphasizes experiential learning and has strong programs in business, education, and music among others.

- Flagler College: Located in historic St. Augustine, this university is known for its small class sizes and majors in fields such as business, education, and communication.

It's important to keep various factors in mind while choosing a college, like majors offered, tuition costs, campus culture, and student resources. It would be worth researching more about each of these colleges, and if possible, visiting their campuses to get a feel for which could be the best fit for you.
