Should I list an internship I did on my college application if it was for a parent's company?

Hello! I'm on the edge about adding a paid internship I did for my parent's company on my college application. We brought many proposals to real clients and completed assignments for guest speakers. There was no interview/application required - it was just myself and six other girls from my county. Is it worth listing?

Listing the internship is still beneficial for college applications. Rather than focusing on what company the internship was through (or who owns it), colleges are focused on what your responsibilities were and what you learned. They are looking to see how the internship might have prepared you for your major, future jobs/internships, and even college classes. If you are able to list some of your responsibilities on the Common App (or Coalition App) and describe how you contributed to the company, it can help you in the admissions process.
