Will college classes boost chances into getting into an Ivy League?
Answered

I'm in 8th grade and soon moving into 9th grade. I'm looking at taking some classes at my local college. I'm looking at psychology/philosophy/sociology/ or a foreign language. Will taking these be favorable in the eyes of an Ivy League? How much will it help me? I'm looking at getting into Harvard for Graduate and Oxford for my Undergrad. (Note - I'm not just taking these courses for college, I genuinely picked courses I want to learn more about but I would like to see if they have alternate college acceptance benefits).

Yeah, for sure! Taking college courses shows to colleges that you are self-starting and prepared for the harder course load in college. Just make sure that you don't overload yourself if you're taking this during the school year b/c poor grades on these courses can reflect poorly on you.
