Hey! Have any of you applied to NASA internships before? If so, if you applied to the Summer session, when did you hear back from your specific projects, or how does the whole ordeal work? Additionally, are NASA internships particularly prestigious even if you don't end up being part of a high-impact research project?
Hi!
I applied to NASA last year (didn't get in) and this year (still waiting to hear). Once you fill out the NASA application, you can select the projects you're interested in. It's really nice because you don't have to do a separate application for each project. Throughout March and April, you'll be able to see the status of the projects (available/filled), so you'll always know how many open spots are left. Really, the application doesn't take very long to complete and I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
As far as your second question, any NASA internship is going to look great on a college application. NASA is a very well-known and respected institution and I think it would really make any student stand out!
