Admissions Advice

Greate extracurriculars if I want to stand out for top colleges and major in Political Science?

My school only offers AP US History for freshmen and I can no longer take it. Will colleges find it ok if I self study for it?

Self-study for what, if I may ask?

Are you able to take the test without taking the class? Have you taken any other social studies courses?

Since you can take the test without taking the class (most schools don't have that option), you should use it as a vantage. If you believe you can comprehend the concepts of the subject and put in the rigorous effort, then I wouldn't see any reasons to deter you. Now, would a college find it okay? If you got a four or five on the test, I honestly don't think they should care (you must know something if you scored so high). If you self-studied AND scored high, any college would find that exceptional.

I hope this helps!
