"Pre-med majors"??

Hi! What are good majors for students who want to go into the medical field, specifically at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I'm a 10th grader. Would microbiology/lab sciences be good since covid is an issue now? Or would general health sciences be better? I plan on being a surgeon of sorts. Thank you!

Aside from the UMN-TC, what are good pre-med majors?

Your major doesn’t really matter however doing a science major makes it easier to get the pre-requisites for medical school without having to do a lot of extra work! As long as you do well in your courses, that’s what matters (especially the science related ones).
