I'm not in honors, but I've been told that taking 4 years of Spanish looks good, even if its CP, because a majority of the students from my grade are dropping it their 4th year and for me to not drop it shows continuation and consistency...but I was wondering, wouldn't it look better if I replaced it with an honors level course instead?
Hi there! While adding more honors classes seems like it would make you look better to college admissions, they like to see that 4-year commitment more. When it comes down to it, colleges are businesses that want to make as much money as possible. If you show commitment, they are more likely to admit you since you seem more likely to stay for four years. It's bleak but it's true
Yes, 4 years of Spanish does indeed show commitment and would look better than just a random honors-course. You could, however, see if you could take an honors or AP Spanish course. Or take an honors course and still take Spanish.

I took Spanish for the last two years but transferred schools and tried French this year. Im not liking it and i am finishing out senior year with spanish, does this look bad on my transcript?
