thoughts? I keep doing exactly the same on each - on the comparison sheet.
Hi, freshman here, I'll give this a shot. To be honest it really depends on personal preference, I've always taken and had great success with the SAT, which is less broad (the scores are out 1600, and they go by 1s) than the ACT (out of 36, goes by 1s). If you compare it that way, there are 1200 different possible scores for the SAT (from 400-1600) instead of 36 different scores for the ACT. It's also easier to study fr the SAT with websites such as Khan Academy being the official practice sites (approved by college board). Colleges don't have a preference between the two tests, and as for taking them, I've heard that the ACT is more lenient on graphs and being able to read data effectively, but don't quote me on it since I've never taken it. I'm just listing off why I think the SAT is better, because of ease to study, more detailed scoring, and it's what I've always taken.
