How valuable is being the President of your school's rotary club on university applications?
Answered

I am in the last year of high school studying in Singapore and am about to apply to University soon. An opportunity has come up to be part of my school's rotary club. I am not sure whether to apply for a position in the club or not? How do universities view such an extracurricular and is it worth it if you do not become president?

Hey! Of course, you should apply! Don't give up the opportunity. Even if you don't become the president, you can write about your experiences. Things you did in the club, how did you feel doing it, how did it help others and so on. It's valuable to have such ECs. It shows the various aspects of your character, like passion, collaborative skills and good communication skills.

So go for it!

Hope this helps (:
