GPA
Answered

My GPA, according to my school and state, is currently a 4.9 w. However, collegevine's calculator says it is a 4.3 w. Which one is correct? Furthermore do colleges get to see your weighted GPA or just your unweighted?

hi! I would definitely recommend sticking with the GPA that your school transcript has just because it's obviously more official. Remember, other online GPA calculator sources give you an estimate because they obviously don't know every little/specific detail about your school courses, so don't stress about what College Vine tells you!!! Also, colleges will see both weighted and unweighted GPA. Remember, weighted GPA mainly shows the rigor of ur classes and how well you performed in them. Unweighted GPA is basically just the average of all final class grades that you received in high school. Hope this helped!!
