What type of research opportunities are available for me if I intend to major in CS?

fyi I just finished junior year HS

heard that research opportunity is a great path to take but idk what to do since I'm headed towards Computer Science

The main issue here is that family isn't very comfortable with the idea of me leaving home, so I'm tryna do everything remote off my laptop

Ok wait, I might have misunderstood your initial question. Are you looking for opportunities while you're in high school to help build out your application? Or are you looking for career pathways for when you graduate college?
