Should I apply early action?
Answered

I am going to be a senior in high school this fall and I really want to attend James Madison University. The only issue is I do not know if I should apply early action because I do not know if I am competitive enough. I take mostly AP/DE courses at my school and I will graduate with my Associate's Degree when graduating high school. I believe that I have a 4.1 weighted GPA and a 3.8 unweighted. I got 1080 on my SAT and I recently retook it (I'm waiting on my score). I do a lot of extracurricular activities and I have a State Championship for theatre. Should I apply early action???

If this is a school that you really want to go to and would rather attend than any other school, do it. Worst case, you don't get in. However, based on the information you provided, you are an incredibly strong applicant for this school in every way except maybe your SAT score, which you said you recently retook. I'd say go for it! It really can't hurt, and you'll probably avoid so much stress in the spring since you know where you'll be going.
