I am taking Honors English and Advanced Algebra 2. Are they worth the same to colleges.
If you are applying to a top college like an Elite or an Ivy then your English track would look something like this:
Honors English 9/10, AP English Lang. & Comp, AP English Lit & Comp.
And your Math Track would look something like this:
Geometry (9th) Algebra 2 (10th), Pre-Calc. (11th), AP Calculus (12th)
unless you skipped ahead then it would look like
Algebra 2 (9th), Pre-Calc. (10th), AP Calculus (11th), Multivariable Calc. or AP Stats (12th)
So they are regarded as requisites to fulfilling your HS requirements if that answers your question. You need both regardless and neither is more or less important than the other.
Good luck
If by "advanced" you mean advanced placement or AP then yes of course there are a few differences. Honors classes are just a step up from normal classes but AP is a college-level class and may count as a class taken off of the classes you will have to take in college. AP will only count for college if you make a 4 or 5 on the exam.
