Will applying to a school that is less known/popular for my major increase my chances for getting into that school?
Answered

Hi,

I am majoring in Biology and I’m doing college searching. I know for example a school like Stony Brook has a lot of its students in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, but what if I applied to a school that is less Biology major focused and has around the same acceptance rate as Stony Brook. Will my chances increase if I apply to a school that is less popular in my major?
